PhD Position in Energy Systems Analysis (Denmark)


Job description

The PhD project is in “Energy Policy Instruments in an EU context” and has special focus on: 
  • Harmonized international support of renewable energy sources
  • The European emission trading system
  • National instruments reconsidered in an international (EU) context
As part of the PhD project the candidate is expected to contribute to teaching at the M.Sc. in sustainable energy at DTU.

Qualifications

You hold a master degree in economics or political science or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the master's degree in engineering.


Assessment
In the assessment of the candidates consideration will be given to:
  • research potential at international level
  • the ability to formulate and communicate relevant research objectives
  • interest for and ability to contribute to teaching at master level 
Approval and Enrolment 
The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval, and the candidates will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes of DTU. For information about the general requirements for enrolment and the general planning of the scholarship studies, please see theDTU PhD Guide.

Salary and appointment terms
The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current rules for PhD degree students. The period of employment is 3 years. The position will involve travelling within and outside Denmark.
