One PhD position is available immediately at the Polymer Laboratory (LP) at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) (Switzerland).
The vacant position is part of an international collaborative project (FP7 EU project) that focuses on the use of controlled radical polymerization strategies for the development of ultrathin polymer coatings (“polymer brushes”) for medical devices.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in organic and polymer chemistry and an interest in applying synthetic chemistry to prepare novel materials.
We offer excellent working conditions and a state-of-the-art infrastructure in a highly dynamic and international environment at the forefront of research. Our laboratory participates in a large number of national and international research programs, which offer the possibility to interact and collaborate with scientists from other disciplines and in other countries.
Applications should include a detailed CV, transcripts of diplomas as well as at least two letters of reference.
