You must be interested in the detailed functions and optimal design of power electronic converter systems and controllers. The focus of the thesis is on the optimisation of converter systems for maximal efficiency and on investigation of new topologies for high power, medium voltage grid interfaces. Besides the theoretical analysis, also a prototype system should be designed and operated with a prototype vehicle. A university degree in Electrical Engineering with excellent grades, fundamental knowledge of power electronic converter systems, good communication skills, fluency in English and the willingness to work hard as a part of the team are a must.
