Description
The current research programme comprises macromolecular micro-crystallography and scanning diffractometry with an emphasis on biological and polymeric materials. We are also interested in developing coherent diffraction methods using nano-beams. Advanced sample environments such as in situ micro-fluidics open many scientific opportunities. Recently, the development and application of an optical tweezers based contact free sample environment has become an important topic bearing a high potential for future developments.

You should hold a PhD in chemistry, physics, biophysics, or closely related disciplines. A strong background in diffraction or scattering techniques is desirable. Knowledge in advanced data analysis methods like crystallography software packages, image processing, and/or scientific programming would be of advantage. Experience with complementary techniques like Raman spectroscopy would be appreciated.
