QUALIFICATIONS: An earned doctorate in electrical or mechanical engineering or closely related field. Candidates are required to have expertise and a demonstrated record of research activities and archival publications related to one of the following areas: (1) "Smart" electric grids (power system electronics, analysis, controls, communications, cyber-security, economics, reliability, etc.); (2) Renewable and/or alternative energy system (solar, wind, modular nuclear reactors, etc.). Candidates are required to possess effective communication skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The primary duties of the successful candidate will include developing a nationally-recognized, externally funded research program, and supervising graduate student research projects. Additional duties may include instructional and service assignments as appropriate.
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience.
