A Ph.D position is available at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) to work on BOLD fMRI of the mouse barrel cortex. An NCCBI funding was obtained by Dr Nathalie. Just, Dr Rolf Gruetter, Dr Carl Petersen and Dr. Markus Rudin.
The position is open to highly qualified candidates holding a Master of Science in biomedical engineering, physics or neuroscience. Preference will be given to candidates already familiar with biomedical imaging. Starting date will be early 2011.
The PhD student will have the opportunity to work in the CIBM (www.cibm.ch), in the Institute for biomedical Engineering of Zürich (http://www.biomed.ee.ethz.ch) and in the Laboratory for sensory processing of the EPFL (http://lsens.epfl.ch/).
The successful student will interact with researchers whose expertise are in domains as vast as MR physics, signal processing, optical imaging and neurosciences. All application documents, including a cover letter, a CV (with full details of marks over the Master studies), and two reference letters, should be sent to Nathalie Just (nathalie.just@epfl.ch).
