Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Informatics at The University of Gothenburg Sweden

Job description
The holder of the position will be responsible for and participating in the development and implementation of courses, at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels. In particular the lecturer will be involved in the undergraduate program Systemvetenskap: IT, människa och organisation, but also within relevant master programs as well as elective courses. The position also includes the supervision of master's students. The holder of the position will be responsible for elective courses such as advanced java and pre-certification course. Other areas such as agile methods and open source are also relevant.

The holder of the position is expected to actively participate in and to carry out research within the department’s prioritized research areas, and to play an active role in the application for external research funding. 



Applicants with another native language than Swedish must be able to teach in English, and will be expected to teach in Swedish within three years.

Extent of employment
The position is full time.

Requirements
PhD in Informatics, Information Systems, Applied IT or in other area relevant for the position.

Criteria for assessment
Scientific skills and teaching skills are weighted at the same level. Experience with empirical research methods, interdisciplinary work, and industrial collaboration will be taken into consideration. Teaching skills should be manifested by ability to develop and organize education, to supervise students, and to innovate and develop education to content and form. Administrative and leadership experience is a merit.
